A new personal painting which i did during my free time. Working on my atmospheric perspective as well as scale. Painted in Photoshop CS5 with Wacom Intuos 4. Spent around 3 hours on this piece. Cheers~

and yes, if this was a concept for a game, the house would be like a safe spot or even a place for you to buy items to restock before you embark on your quest etc.

It's interesting what this piece does emotionally. The spikes and the dark foreground lend themselves to a sense of foreboding, but as your eyes are led to the light toward the top and center, the warm colors give more of a feeling of protection and comfort.
